Seattle Seahawks 2011 Season Preview
Posted 8/18/2011
The Seattle Seahawks shocked pretty much everyone by taking down the New Orleans Saints in the first round of last year's playoffs.
Seattle is determined to come out this year and show that their playoff victory wasn't a fluke and that Pete Carroll's third stint as an NFL head coach will be the charm.
The Seahawks certainly did a lot in the offseason to establish themselves as one of the teams to beat in the NFC. They signed wide receiver Sidney Rice and tight end Zach Miller to big contracts, and they also drafted a couple of offensive lineman to help with the running game and protecting the quarterback.
However, they replaced Matt Hasselbeck with Tavaris Jackson at quarterback, a questionable move that has many shaking their head. While Hasselback was getting old and was certainly injury prone, Jackson hasn't shown much in his first few years in the league.
