New Orleans Saints 2011 Season Preview The New Orleans Saints were stunned in the first round of the playoffs last year by the lowly Seattle Seahawks, and they certainly can't wait to get that bad taste out of their mouth.

The Saints were heavy favorites in the playoff game despite being on the road, but their defense really let them down in the embarassing loss.

New Orleans' defense wasn't great during their Super Bowl run, but they did force a ton of turnovers to compensate for some of their shortcomings. They will need to get back to being that type of defense in 2011 if they want to be a serious Super Bowl contender.

The offense will also have to be better than it was last season. The Saints put up a lot of points, but quarterback Drew Brees wasn't quite as efficient as the past few seasons. The Saints lost Reggie Bush in the offseason, but rookie running back Mark Ingram should have a significant impact.

New Orleans is still one of the top teams in the NFC, but the Atlanta Falcons will make it tough to take the division crown.
