Minnesota Vikings Tickets

The Minnesota Vikings used a strong defense and running game to win the NFC North division and reach the playoffs, but their postseason experience was short and certainly not sweet with a first round loss to the visiting Philadelphia Eagles.

The Vikings have the defense and the running game to make a long postseason run, but the quarterback play was atrocious. They knew it was a major question mark going into last season, but felt that Tavaris Jackson was up to the challenge.

The team is so desperate for improvement at the position that they traded for Houston Texans quarterback Sage Rosenfels in the offseason. Man, that is ugly.

Rosenfels was nothing more than a backup with the Texans and a very inconsistent one at that. To me, it seems like it's just going to be more of the same for the Vikings with him under center.

The Vikings take on the AFC North and NFC West in 2009, which means three very difficult games against teams that either play in the Super Bowl or were a score away from getting there, and five against pretty crummy teams.

The NFC West is considered the worst division in football and the AFC North is very top heavy with the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Vikings also happen to play in the NFC North, which isn't far off from being one of the worst divisions in football.

The season gets off to a great start for the Vikings, who begin with away games against Cleveland and Detroit before home games vs. San Francisco and Green Bay. If things go right, they could be looking at 4-0 or at least 3-1 to start the year.
