Kansas City Chiefs 2011 Season Preview The Kansas City Chiefs were one of the surprise teams in the NFL last year, winning the AFC West and reaching the postseason.

The Chiefs were quickly dismantled by the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs, but it was a good lesson for the young team and showed the coaching staff areas that must be improved in 2011.

Kansas City saw the way the offense struggled when teams focused on Dwayne Bowe, so they drafted wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin to take some of the pressure away from their top playmaker.

Kansas City also brought in fullback Le'Ron McClain, who will be able to open up some holes for Jamaal Charles and take some carries away from the rapidly aging Thomas Jones.

The Chargers remain the favorite in the AFC West, but the Chiefs should be able to push them yet again.
