Baltimore Ravens 2011 Playoffs Preview
Posted 1/4/2011
The Baltimore Ravens come into the NFL playoffs riding a four-game winning streak but not exactly flying high.
The Ravens lost the division, a home game and a bye on a tiebreaker, meaning the 12-4 team will have to travel to Kansas City to face the Chiefs in a tough atmosphere at Arrowhead Stadium.
Baltimore has played up or down to the level of their competition for much of the year, frustrating fans. They might be the first 12-4 team to consider themselves underachievers, but they are also a group no one wants to face in the playoffs.
Cam Cameron has gotten back to running the football in recent weeks with some success, so look for them to use Ray Rice and Willis McGahee to control the clock and take the crowd out of the game.
The Ravens have proven in past years that they have no fear of going on the road and beating whoever lines up against them. Baltimore always has a good running game and strong defense, but now they have a talented quarterback and veteran group of wideouts.
It's hard to see the Ravens winning three straight road games to get to the Super Bowl, but they will likely cause some type of damage along the way before they are eliminated, but even that won't be easy for their opponent.
