Arizona Cardinals 2011 Season Preview
Posted 8/18/2011
The Arizona Cardinals should be a much better team this year than last now that they have a quarterback that can get the ball into the hands of their best playmaker.
After Kurt Warner retired before last season, the Cardinals used a few different quarterbacks with the same bad results. They could not get the ball to Larry Fitzgerald, wasting away the team's top weapon.
Arizona made a big move in the offseason, trading Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to the Philadelphia Eagles for Kevin Kolb, who instantly gives them a strong arm who can get the ball down the field.
With the running game languishing, the Cardinals used a first-round pick on running back Ryan Williams. Though injury prone and somewhat inconsistent, Williams has the ability to be a star in the NFL.
With a division as wide open as the NFC West, the Cardinals have to feel good about their chances of reaching the playoffs.
