NHL not ready to crack down on fighting

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman said the league will take a look at all of the fighting that is taking place. However, it doesn’t seem as though he thinks it is a major problem or a change should be expected anytime soon. With the NBA and MLB cracking down on brawls and the NFL getting strict with conduct on and off the field, the NHL seems like the next league that would step up and do something. Bettman said that he doesn’t think fighting is a big deal and is an aspect that the fans really enjoy. He said it would be a problem if it was taking place all of the time, but he feels it is only an incidental part of the game.
