The Kansas City Royals are once again nowhere near postseason play, but that isnt affecting how hard they are playing out the rest of the season.
The Royals are currently 70-86, a pretty respectable record for a team and an organization in the midst of a total reconstruction and rebuilding process.
The team is certainly more competitive this year than it has been in some time, which at least gives fans something to cheer for knowing there is some hope for the future.
Their under .500 home record is disappointing, but they arent that far below that mark on the road, which is very close to similar winning presentages for teams like the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees away from home.
It wont happen overnight, but you have to at least like that baby steps the Royals have taken. |
