Despite the absence of Tiger Woods, the Americans closed out a victory over the Europeans to take back the Ryder Cup.
The Americans left little to chance, wrapping things up relatively early in the afternoon to begin the celebration while a few of the players were still finishing up their matches on the course.
Many gave the United States little chance to reclaim the Ryder Cup this year considering the inexperienced team they fielded and the fact that the Europeans have owned them the past six years.
Give captain Paul Azinger a lot of credit for putting together a solid team and then creating solid matches on the first two days of the event.
Also give credit to guys like Jim Furyk and Justin Leonard, whose hot putters made them a tough match.
