The Cleveland Cavaliers have re-signed guard Delonte West to a two-year contract worth around $10 million.
The deal also includes a club option for a third year.
West came over in a midseason trade from the Seattle Supersonics and quickly established himself as one of LeBron James most trusted teammates.
He did an admirable job of playing point guard for much of the playoffs despite the fact he is a scorer and not a fantastic passer or ball-handler.
He wont have to worry about such duties this year after the Cavaliers traded for point guard Maurice Williams in the offseason.
With James set to become a free agent very soon, the Cavaliers have been trying to make moves that will entice him to stay in Cleveland. |
