The Washington Redskins came off of a huge win over the rival Dallas Cowboys and were expected by many to lay an egg against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Instead, the Redskins dominated the Eagles in nearly every facet of the game en route to a huge, 23-17 road win over a divisional opponent.
Running back Clinton Portis and the Redskins offensive line dominated the line of scrimmage against a defense that has been stopping everyone who tries to run against them this year.
Portis finished the game with 145 yards rushing and a touchdown, including a huge fourth-down conversion late in the game that allowed the Redskins to milk the clock for the win.
With the next three games against very easy foes, the Redskins should be 7-1 at the halfway point of the season. |
