Chiefs stun Broncos, 33-19

The hapless Kansas City Chiefs are winless no more after a stunning, 33-19 victory at Arrowhead Stadium over the previously undefeated Denver Broncos. The Chiefs made yet another change at the quarterback position, going back to veteran Damon Huard after giving rookie Tyler Thigpen the start last week. Huard, who was out last week after suffering a neck injury, didn’t put up big passing numbers but did a nice job of controlling the offense and avoiding costly turnovers. The player of the game had to be running back Larry Johnson, a guy many though was already on the decline. Johnson finished with 198 yards and two touchdowns. Give the Kansas City defense a lot of credit for the way they slowed down the explosive Denver offense. They held the Broncos under 20 points, something no other team has done so far this season.
