The Washington Wizards were decimated by injuries last year and it doesnt look like anything has changed this season.
Center Brendan Haywood will have to undergo surgery on his wrist and will miss four to six months, which is essentially nearly all of the regular season.
Head coach Eddie Jordan said Haywood has seen a couple of specialists and the team is still hopeful that the recovery time wont be quite as long.
Its a big blow for the Wizards, who arent exactly deep in the post. Haywood is also coming off arguably his best season in the league.
The team did at least receive some good news when they found out forward Antawn Jamison has just a bone bruise on his knee and will be ready for the start of the regular season. |
