As usual, it’s never an ordinary draft when it comes to the Oakland Raiders.

The team selected running back Darren McFadden with the No. 4 overall pick, which caused quite a bit of discussion and criticism.

Many felt the Raiders should have selected defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey or defensive end Vernon Gholston to help out their struggling defense.

I liked the pick, as I feel McFadden is a top talent who will really help out quarterback JaMarcus Russell.

The rest of their draft was nothing to write home about, partially because they didn’t select again until the fourth round.
