The New York Jets filled a lot of holes with acquisitions of veterans in the offseason.
However, the draft was a chance to inject the team with some talented youth.
With the No. 6 overall pick, the Jets grabbed defensive end Vernon Gholston.
Its a risky pick, because Gholston seems to play at less than 100 percent on a regular basis, but there is no doubting his talent.
Tight end Dustin Keller was an excellent selection in the second round and will give the team a real playmaker at the position.
I also liked how they drafted quarterback Eric Ainge, as Im not convinced Kellen Clemens is a starter in the NFL.
