Coming off of the Super Bowl, the New York Giants knew they still had several holes to fill.

The Giants selected safety Kenny Phillips with the final pick in the first round. I love Phillips, who comes out of Miami and could be a very poor man’s Ed Reed.

They grabbed a cornerback, Terrell Thomas, in the second round.

My favorite pick was the selection of wide receiver Mario Manningham in the third round. That could prove to be a steal.
