The Detroit Lions did not take a wide receiver in the first round of the draft. Shocker!

Alright, I had to get that out of the way.

However, the Lions did take offensive tackle Gosder Cherilus in the first round. He went a little early, but the Lions want to get back to running the football now that offensive coordinator Mike Martz has left town.

My favorite pick was running back Kevin Smith at the start of the third round. He had a great college career, and I don’t think the Lions are sold on Tatum Bell as their starting running back.
