The Chicago Bears have released veteran safety Adam Archuleta.

The team is already fairly deep at safety and drated Craig Steltz in the fourth round of this year’s draft.

He started 10 games last year, finishing with 61 tackles.

After coming into the league as one of the top safeties, Archuleta has bounced around the NFL in recent years.

He was signed to a big deal by the Washington Redskins just a few seasons ago but performed way below expectations and was let go.
