Giants give Diehl new contract

The New York Giants have awarded left guard Dave Diehl a new six-year contract worth $31 million.

Now that he is moving to left tackle, the Giants felt it prudent to rip up his old contract.

So long as he remains in the left tackle position, Diehl will be paid handsomely.
