Miami Dolphins running back Rickey Williams said he declined an offer from Chicago Bears running back Cedric Benson to go out on his boat with him.

Both players are former running backs at the University of Texas.

Williams said he feels like the incident involving Benson and the police may have been avoid had he been there, as he believes he has a calming influence.

The running back also mentioned he had a very encouraging meeting with vice president Bill Parcells and feels they will have a good relationship.
