The Atlanta Hawks got off to a rough start this season but got things together in time to grab the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference.

For a team that finished eight games below .500 in a weak conference, the Hawks made things really interesting in the first round against the supposed best team in the NBA.

The Hawks took the Boston Celtics to seven games, winning all three contests on their home court.

Even though they were blown out in Game 7, it was great experience for a young team that didn’t back down from the heavy favorites.
