The Buffalo Bills have waived injured tight end Kevin Everett, an emotional move for both parties.
However, the move will allow Everett to pursue long-term disability benefits from the NFL.
Everett was injured last year while trying to make a special teams tackle and was paralyzed. He has since recovered and started to walk again.
The team said they had many discussions with the league in trying to determine how to best help Everett monetarily in the future. |
