With the Chicago Bears now having waived running back Cedric Benson, it certainly creates a real opportunity for someone to step up and claim the starting job.

Veteran running back Adrian Peterson should be in the mix, as will rookie Matt Forte, who is undoubtedly the most talented runner currently on the roster.

It is very likely that the Bears will go out on the free agent market and bring in another established, veteran running back to give them some depth at the position.

This could mean Shaun Alexander has finally found a job, or maybe Kevin Jones or Travis Henry.
