Casino Drive, the horse said to pose the biggest threat to favorite Big Brown, has been scratched from the Belmont Stakes because of an injury.

The injury, which was reported earlier this week, was not expected to be serious but his owner and trainer have election to be extra cautious with the horse.

The horse is said to be fine and the injury is minor, but the risk just wasn’t worth it.

Casino Drive will now be shipped back to Japan, while Big Brown looks to have virtually no challengers in his bid to be the first horse to win the Triple Crown in 30 years.
