The Detroit Red Wings took care of business on the road in Game 6, beating the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 to win the Stanley Cup.
After dominating the Penguins on their home ice in the first two games, the final four games of the series were much more competitive and entertaining.
However, the Red Wings simply proved to be too much too handle offensively for a Pittsburgh team that nearly left the city just a year ago.
The Red Wings, meanwhile, have certainly earned their "Hockeytown U.S.A." title, and could eventually become known as "Titletown U.S.A. with their domination of the NHL. |
