In a sudden turn of events, Doug Collins will not become the next head coach of the Chicago Bulls.

Collins and owner Jerry Reinsdorf came to an agreement that his second coaching stint with the team could cause the two to lose their friendship.

Collins said both men were a little unsure of a reunion, and he told the owner that maybe they should just go their separate ways in order to continue to remain friends.

Reinsdorf concurred with Collins, saying his mother always told him not to go into business with friends and relatives because things can come up that cause problems.
