The Detroit Tigers are 41-40 and in third place in the American League Central.
However, the bigger news is that the team has recovered from its horrible start and has finally made it back to the .500 mark, which could have them back in contention in the division race very shortly.
The Tigers are finally getting the expected production from what was considered to be a very powerful lineup before the season began but was hurt by injuries and poor at bats early in the year.
Detroit is also benefitting from a bullpen that has been strengthened significantly by the return of relievers Fernando Rodney and Joel Zumaya. |
