The Baltimore Ravens have three mascots in the form of Edgar, Allan and Poe, but they are about have some company.
The team is in the process of having two real Ravens birds trained in hopes of adding them to their gameday experience.
The teams marketing director was impressed upon seeing the Seattle Seahawks mascot, a hawk, circle the field and then land upon a pole by the 12th man sign.
The Ravens are hoping to have the bird come out of the players tunnel and lead the team onto the field. At that point, they will have the bird circle the stadium seating bowl to excite the fans.
Its a pretty cool idea and should get fans pretty fired up. |
