The Baltimore Orioles went into Wrigley Field and took two out of three from the Chicago Cubs, the team with the best record in all of baseball.
The Cubs were lucky to even manage one win, as they were fortunate to get a number of breaks to fall their way in the second game of the series.
Baltimores scheduled starter, Brian Burres, was a late scratch because of a stomach ailment. The team then turned to reliever Matt Albers, who did not get out of the first inning and had to be removed from the game because of a shoulder injury.
The Cubs did not receive very good pitching in the series, as Jason Marquis was knocked around and Ted Lilly wasnt exactly on top of his game. |
