For Tiger Woods, the U.S. Open will be the only major he will win this season.

The reason is that Woods has way more ligament damage in his knee than anyone could have possibly imagined and will need to undergo season-ending surgery.

Woods said he kept the severity of his injuries to himself because he didn’t want his knee condition to become the main forcus of the U.S. Open.

Doctors actually told Woods that he should not play in the U.S. Open, but he chose to ignore their advice and said he was going to not only compete but win.
