The Pittsburgh Pirates are currently 34-37 and in fourth place in the National League Central.

The Pirates are seemingly always in rebuilding mode and this year is no different.

However, with a new general manager in place, the team is flirting with the .500 mark and giving their fans some type of hope for their future.

The last time the team finished above .500 was back in 1991, so achieving the mark this year would really give the organization some much needed momentum.

I don’t see it happening, but at least they are making it interesting so far.
