The Atlanta Braves are currently 35-37 and in third place in the National League East.

The Braves were considered by many to be serious World Series contenders before the start of the season, but a rash of injuries has changed things just a bit.

The bullpen has been very ineffective because of all of the injuries, most significantly that of John Smoltz.

Third baseman Chipper Jones has been absolutely awesome, but he has already missed a little bit of time with various injuries. It seems inevitable that he will visit the disabled list sometime this year.
