Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Vernon Wells left Saturdays game in the seventh inning with an injury to his left wrist.
Wells could be found in the clubhouse icing his wrist after the game, the same one he broke earlier this year and hurt in a similar fashion in 2007.
The hope is that the injury is just some lingering soreness as the wrist continues to be tested with swings at the plate.
Wells has been hitting pretty well since coming off of the disabled list, so it seems as though the wrist is completely healed despite his very quick return. |
