A trio of North Carolina Tar Heels stars have withdrawn their name from the NBA Draft and will return to school.

Ty Lawson, Wayne Ellington and Danny Green have all withdrawn their names on the final day to do so, returning to school and making North Carolina a likely unanimous preseason No. 1 selection.

Head coach Roy Williams said the three players gained great experience but that the timing wasn’t right to make the jump to the NBA.

Nobody can be happier than Williams, who won’t lose any key players from last year’s talented team that came up a little short in the NCAA tournament.
