Oakland Athletics designated hitter Frank Thomas’ return from the disabled list is delayed after he has shown little progress recovering from right quadriceps tendinitis.

Thomas has been told to suspend all baseball activities, and the team feels it will take him more time to recover than originally thought.

The DH has been out since May 27 when he tried to stretch before the start of the game.

Thomas will not do any baseball activities until at least July 1 and will remain at his Las Vegas home until then.
