New York Mets manager Willie Randolph is lobbying for the jobs of several of his coaches as rumors swirl that some could be fired in the coming days.

Randolph’s job has been in serious jeopardy nearly all season, but it appears that some of his coaching staff may be the next to go.

The manager said that all of the coaches are still a part of the team as they should be going forward, and he doesn’t see a reason why that should change.

He added that it is tough playing for New York because you hear all different types of rumors in the media and there isn’t a lot of truth to most of them.
