The reason why Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren missed a couple of practices last week has finally been revealed: he underwent surgery.

Holmgren wouldn’t go any further than that, simply saying he underwent a little surgery and everything is fine.

He said he didn’t die and just needed a little time to recover from it and everything is great now.

The head coach, 60, is entering his 10th and final season with the Seahawks. He plans to retire following the season.
