The Kansas City Chiefs have signed defensive end Trevor Johnson to a one-year contract.

Financial terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.

Johnson has 49 tackles and one sack in 38 games with the New York Jets, St. Louis Rams and New Orleans Saints.

He was a seventh round pick of the Jets back in 2004.

Johnson is a native of Lincoln, Neb and played his college ball at Nebraska, so this is a coming home of sorts for the well-traveled defensive end.
