Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden officially announced his retirement today at a press conference at the team’s headquarters before many teammates.

General manager Ozzie Newsome praised Ogden for dominating the quarterback’s blindside for many years in the NFL, calling him one of the best to ever play the game.

Ogden said he will miss playing football, but he knew it was time to step away from the game.

The offensive tackle doesn’t plan on going far, as he hopes to help out fellow offensive lineman while also taking on an active role in the community.
