Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas opted out of his contract as expected and is now a free agent.

However, that doesn’t mean Arenas is necessarily going anywhere.

The guard has said several times in the offseason that he wants the team to re-sign veteran forward Antwan Jamison, and that he would take a cheap deal if they were to do so.

At the same time, he has said he will not return if the team does not sign Jamison.

General manager Ernie Grunfeld has made it clear that he wants to re-sign both players.
