At 42-47, the Atlanta Braves sit in fourth place in the National League East.
The Braves are arguably one of the most disappointing teams in baseball with one week to go before the All-Star break, as many predicted they would make it to the World Series this year.
Some of the problems were simply unavoidable, such as the rash of injuries that has ravaged both the starting rotation and the bullpen.
No one is really running away with the division, which gives the Braves hope that they can claw back into the race, especially if they get healthy. There is also always the wild card.
However, they certainly find themselves at a crossroads as to what they should do come the trade deadline, especially with first baseman Mark Teixeira. |
