The Boston Red Sox have four players elected into the starting lineup for this years All Star Game, which is ironically being played in Yankee Stadium.
The four Red Sox starters are sure to hear it from the crowd everytime they come to bat even though they will be trying to help the American League win homefield advantage in the World Series.
The Red Sox will start second baseman Dustin Pedroia, first baseman Kevin Youkilis and outfielder Manny Ramirez. Designated hitter David Ortiz was also elected as a starter, but his injured wrist will not allow him to play. Texas Rangers outfielder Milton Bradley will take his place.
Outfielder J.D. Drew, closer Jonathan Palpebon and catcher Jason Varitek were picked as reserves by the fans. |
