Washington Nationals outfielder Lastings Milledge is expected to make his return from a groin injury on Friday.
Manager Manny Acta said Milledge has been performing baseball activities with no limitations and appears to be 100 percent healthy again.
It is expected that Milledge will return to center field and keep his starting position.
The Nationals have been fairly disappointed in the development of Milledge this season, which has been somewhat hampered by nagging injuries.
The team was hoping that Milledge could become their future center fielder and a star at that after acquiring him in the offseason in a trade with the New York Mets. |
