Minnesota Twins pitcher Francisco Liriano continues to toil in the minor leagues and is getting very frustrated that he has not been recalled to the majors.
After struggling in his few first starts in the minors, Liriano has been absolutely lights out over the past month, clearly showing that he has regained much talent and command he showed in his rookie season.
However, the Twins have a logjam in their starting rotation at the moment and would need to drop someone to call up Liriano.
All of their young pitchers are throwing well enough, leaving the only obvious candidate being veteran Livan Hernandez. While Hernandez has been awful, the team likes how he eats innings and provides a veteran presence in such a young rotation. |
