Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Malholm is receiving treatment for his back but says that the injury is not a major concern.
The scorching-hot pitcher recently picked up his first loss since May 20. He gave up five earned runs in six innings of work against the Colorado Rockies after cruising through the first three frames.
Malholm called the treatment a precautionary measure, but back injuries can be both serious and nagging.
This is certainly something that will need to be watched, but it seems like he will be able to make his next start. |
