Looking to further upgrade their offense for the pennant race, the Milwaukee Brewers have traded for San Francisco Giants second baseman Ray Durham.
It is the second major trade made by the Brewers in the past month, although this one being on a much smaller scale.
Second baseman Rickie Weeks has been a major disappointment with his terrible on-base percentage, so the Brewers felt it was time to make a move and look to upgrade that area of their club.
Durham is having a solid season and would provide a veteran presence as well as playoff experience.
The Giants acquired two minor league players in exchange for Durham. |
