The Maryland Terrapins are set to open up their season Saturday when they take on the Delaware Blue Hens at Byrd Stadium.
The Terps have not played the Division I-AA Blue Hens in quite some time, which comes as a surprise given their close proximity to the school.
In any case, Saturday will mark the beginning of the quarterback controversy, as senior Jordan Steffy gets the start over junior Chris Turner.
If Steffy struggles early, expect the fans to get restless in a hurry. A large majority of fans want Turner to start and feel that Steffy doesnt give the offense a chance to move the ball consistently, so they wont by shy about letting the coaches hear about the decision.
I think the Steffy decision was a curious one myself, and I think the game will be closer than it really should be. However, the Terps should grind out a victory and move to 1-0 on the year. Lets call it 26-19. |
