Despite the disappointment of being relegated to the backup quarterback spot, Chris Turner has decided he will remain at the University of Maryland.
Turner was extremely disappointed after head coach Ralph Friedgen named Jordan Steffy the team’s starting quarterback.
He was feeling a lot of pressure from his family to head back home and transfer to a West Coast School, but the quarterback feels comfortable at Maryland.
After giving it much thought and speaking with Friedgen and his father on a couple of occasions, Turner decided he would not transfer.
Friedgen noted that Turner, who is known to be much sharper in games than in practice, has had some of this best practices the past few days since the quarterback decision was made. |
