Chicago Bulls point guard Ben Gordon said his days with the team are through and he wants to be traded to another team.
Gordon said he wont sign the teams one-year qualifying offer of $6.4 million and told the Bulls that it is not an option.
The guard is seeking a contract extension worth around $72 million, but the highest the Bulls could offer without being subject to the luxury tax is about $58 million.
Because he is a restricted free agent, Gordons options are limited. He could choose to sit out the season or play in Europe for a year.
Gordon is coming off of a disappointing season in which the supposedly up-and-coming Bulls failed to even make the Eastern Conference playoffs. |
