The New York Jets have agreed to a deal with the Green Bay Packers to bring veteran quarterback Brett Favre to the Big Apple.
The Jets will send the Packers a fourth round pick that could change in value depending upon how Favre and the team does this season.
If the Jets were to win the Super Bowl, the Packers would receive the teams first round draft pick.
Favre had desperately wanted to be traded within the NFC North to exact some sort of revenge on the Packers, but Green Bay was very resistant in making such a deal with a division rival.
In a corresponding move, the Jets announced the release of veteran quarterback Chad Pennington. |
